What aspect of your workspace is the biggest conversation starter?
One would think the fart blaster, Godzilla, or Pope Francis bobblehead would be the biggest conversation starters – but inevitably it’s always the pictures of our “fur children” that draws folks in.
Favorite spot in Durham right now?
Hands down, The Blue Note Grill is my favorite spot in Durham right now. They have live music nightly – and some of the best bbq in town. That said, their chipotle black bean nachos with smoked chicken are the stuff dreams are made of! And did I mention Blue Note is within walking distance from the Method Savvy office? Win-win!
What 5 things could you not live without during your workday?
1: Technology is vital. I couldn’t function without my laptop or cellphone.
2: A notepad and sticky notes. (Again, for that good old-fashioned list-making.)
3: Water. You have to stay hydrated… and coffee doesn’t count!
4: Snacks. It’s hard to work when you’re hangrie.
5: Laughter. A little levity goes a long way in building camaraderie – and keeping spirits high.
What object in your office always makes you smile or feel inspired?
Looking at the pictures of my partner and our brood always puts a smile on my face.
How do you stay organized? Are you an app user or an old-fashioned list-maker? (Or something else altogether?)
I am a old-fashioned list maker. While I’m far faster on a keyboard – handwritten notes and lists help me commit things to memory. And there’s something really gratifying about scratching through a task once it’s completed.
